Accessibility

We make every effort to make the surgery accessible for disabled patients.

  • We have a wheelchair available for use in the surgery.
  • If you are experiencing hearing difficulties when being called in to see the doctor or nurse, please do let us know in order for us to set up an alert on your medical records and personally collect you from the waiting room. Alternatively, we do have the facility of a portable induction loop. If you would like to use this, please ask at reception for assistance.
Evening and weekend appointments are now available with GPs, for routine pre-booked services.

To book an appointment you must contact your own GP practice. An appointment must have been booked in advance of visiting the extended hours service. Please be aware that this is not a walk-in service.

Please note that when you book an appointment the practice will ask you for consent to share your detailed GP record with the clinician providing the care.

Should you need to cancel your appointment please contact your GP practice.

Evening and weekend appointments are likely to be in one of the hubs and not necessarily at your usual GP practice. Your GP practice will be able to advise you where you need to be when you book your appointment.

Please be aware that appointments booked at the hubs providing evening and/or weekend appointments will be with a GP, practice nurse or other appropriate healthcare professional who works on behalf of all the local GP practices. This may mean that you have an appointment with a healthcare professional who does not usually work for your usual GP practice, but you will still receive the same level of care.

All the GPs and nurses working in the HUB will be able to access all the necessary information about you to give you the highest level of care and the process will be exactly the same as you would receive from a GP or nurse at your usual GP practice.

Non-urgent advice: Out of Hours & Emergencies

If you need to see a doctor outside normal surgery opening times i.e. after 18:00 and before 08:00 during weekdays and anytime during the weekend, please telephone the surgery, where you will be diverted to our out of hours service.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
