This decision has been made to protect your safety, improve accuracy, and enhance service efficiency.

Taking medication requests by phone can lead to errors with drug names or dosages. Written and digital requests are safer and leave a clear record.

Handling phone requests is time-consuming and blocks phone lines for patients who need urgent medical help.
🔒 Protecting Your Privacy
Discussing medications by phone may compromise your confidentiality. We want to ensure your personal health data is protected.
📌 How to Order Your Medication
You can still request your repeat prescriptions using these safer, more efficient options:
- 📱 NHS App (recommended)
- 💻 Online via Patient Access or our website
- 📧 Order via email: moorfieldhouse.admin@nhs.net
- 🧾 Dropping off your paper request at the surgery
🧓 Who Can Still Request by Telephone?
- We understand that not everyone can use digital services. Patients who may still request medication by phone include:
- 📵 Patients with no access to online services or without internet/mobile phones
- 👴 Elderly or frail patients who are housebound
- 🧠 Patients with learning difficulties, cognitive impairments or severe mental health issues
- 🧑🦼 Patients with disabilities that prevent them from using online or written methods
- 🗣️ Carers or relatives ordering on behalf of vulnerable patients
